Kyla Deep presents “Basement Circuit,” a new release that explores his darker, more underground side through hypnotic grooves, rolling basslines, and a production built for the dancefloor. We caught up with the DJ and producer to talk about the inspiration behind the track, his evolution as an artist, and what’s coming next.

“Basement Circuit” has a strong underground feeling. What is the story or inspiration behind the track?
“Basement Circuit” was inspired by that raw, underground feeling you get in a packed club—the dark room, flashing lights, heavy bass, and everyone connecting through the rhythm.
I wanted to capture the energy of an underground space where the music feels like its own language and where the night can take you somewhere unexpected.
How would you describe the sound of this new track within the tech house scene?
I’d describe it as driving, hypnotic, and groove-focused.
It has a strong tech house foundation, but I wanted to bring my own personality into it through deeper textures, rolling basslines, and atmospheric elements. It’s designed for the dancefloor while still having a mood and identity beyond just the drop.
What elements of the production were essential to creating the energy of “Basement Circuit”?
The groove was everything.
I focused on getting the drums and bassline working together in a way that feels powerful and constant. Percussion, tension-building effects, vocal textures, and all those small details were also essential.
I wanted the track to keep evolving and building energy without losing that hypnotic flow.
How does this release differ from your previous productions?
This release feels more confident and focused.
With “Basement Circuit,” I explored a darker and more underground side of my sound. I’m constantly learning and evolving as a producer, and I think this track represents a new level of understanding of what I want my music to sound like.
What do you want listeners to feel when they hear your tracks in a club?
I want people to feel free and completely present in the moment.
For me, club music is about connection—between the DJ, the music, and the crowd. If someone can forget everything else for a few minutes and just move with the music, then I’ve done what I wanted to do.
How is Kyla Deep evolving as a DJ and producer?
I’m evolving by becoming more intentional with my sound and more open to experimentation.
As a DJ, I’m always learning how to read a crowd and create a journey through a set. As a producer, I’m focusing more on developing a recognizable identity while continuing to explore different sounds within house and electronic music.
Are there any artists or sounds that are particularly influencing your music right now?
I’m inspired by artists who know how to balance groove, atmosphere, and energy.
Right now, I’m especially drawn to deep, hypnotic house sounds, underground tech house, and progressive influences. I’m always listening for interesting rhythms, textures, and ideas that can inspire me to take my own sound in a new direction.
What can we expect next from Kyla Deep?
Definitely more music and more evolution.
I’m working on developing my sound further and exploring new ideas that connect my love for deep house, progressive house, and more underground club sounds.
I want each release to feel like another step forward, so listeners can expect fresh energy, deeper grooves, and plenty more to come from Kyla Deep.
